David Schnee, what is Networking?
Networking literally involves a lot of work. But in a more playful sense, the term also lends Netzhdk, ZHdK’s alumni organization, its name. Here, networking is inseparably connected with artistic activity. Artistic training at ZHdK teaches creative cooperation, interaction, critical questioning and exchanging ideas. To ensure that all this continues after graduation, Netzhdk helps alumni to carry their network seamlessly into the real artistic (working) world.
A database of over 2200 ZHdK alumni showcases their profiles and talents. A mentoring programme (currently being set up) will provide alumni with topic-specific support, for example, financial, legal and business advice. Netzhdk also offers members continuing education and a range of concessions (for events, exhibitions, concerts, further education or room rental), making the organization what it aspires to be: a gradually consolidating and expanding network.
