The International Dossier is responsible for maintaining ZHdK’s international partnerships and networks. It also performs conceptual-strategic work that contributes to the University’s internationalization. The Dossier comprises the International Affairs Office, which includes the International Office, and the Shared Campus Project Office. The International Office is the contact point for current and prospective exchange students.

Florence Balthasar
Head of the International Affairs office. Profession/education: Translation Studies and International Relations. At ZHdK since 1 January 2019. Non-professional interests: Culture, travelling, reading, hiking, foreign policy. What I like about ZHdK: The diversity of exciting disciplines. What I would change: To become even more international. My wishes for the Toni Campus: None, the building is great. My favourite place in Zurich: Lake Zurich, the Limmat and Sihl (after 10 years in landlocked Brussels, you start yearning for water).

Daniel Späti
Chair of the Shared Campus Project Team; Head of Transcultural Collaboration. Profession/education: Designer FH, Lecturer, Organizer. At ZHdK since 2001. Non-professional interests: Anything to do with music or that can be practised with music. What I like about ZHdK: You need desire and assertiveness to get things moving and the great thing is: You will always find allies. What I would change: That everyone greets everyone and talks to everyone. My wishes for the Toni Campus: A relaxed atmosphere in which surprises can happen and where things can get out of hand. A pub on the roof or on the ramp and a bit of life under the SBB bridge! My favourite place in Zurich: Just beneath the water surface.

Swetlana Heger-Davis
Director of the Department of Fine Arts; Head of the International Dossier; Professor. Profession/education: Art education at Vienna University of Applied Arts (Diploma) and at Tokyo’s Musashino Art University (Postgraduate). At ZHdK since 1 September 2017. Non-professional interests: Travel, design and architecture. What I like about ZHdK: Everything contemporary. What I would change: Create studios for lecturers. My wishes for the Toni Campus: Good art in public areas. My favourite place in Zurich: Wherever I can enjoy art and breakfast.

Bettina Ganz
Head of the International Office. Profession/education: Youth work, public management. At ZHdK since 1994. Non-professional interests: Town and country, rivers and mountains. What I like about ZHdK: The buzzing building with lots of stimulating content. What I would change: Reduce, prioritize — less is more. Introduce the CO2 budget. My wishes for the Toni Campus: Local beer and Gasparini ice cream. My favourite place in Zurich: My garden.

Valérie Jetzer
Assistant at the International Affairs Office; Shared Campus Administrator. Profession/education: Certified seamstress. At ZHdK since January 2020. Non-professional interests: Fencing and friendships, art and culture. What I like about ZHdK: The higgledy-piggledy. What I would change: – . My wishes for the Toni Campus: A little elephant one could take for walks along the Limmat during lunchtime or in the evening. My favourite place in Zurich: The local pub, the nearby forest, the lake down the road, the parks around the corner.

Shared Campus Programme Manager; Deputy Head of Transcultural Collaboration; Member of the Critical Ecologies Theme Group. Profession/education: BA Multimedia, MA Transdisciplinary Studies. At ZHdK since 2012. Non-professional interests: Dancing, swimming in the sea, admiring all forms of creativity, meeting new people, hiking and occasionally getting lost. What I like about ZHdK: The myriad of interesting people with ideas, wishes and the motivation to get things moving. What I would change: Create more space for cross-connections and synergies between diverse projects and similarly minded creative people. My wishes for the Toni Campus: —. My favourite place in Zurich: Seebad Enge.

Exchange Coordinator Incoming; Contact for refugee artists. Profession/education: Art educator (MA Art Education, Exhibiting + Teaching). At ZHdK since summer 2018. Non-professional interests: Sports, theatre, concerts, art. What I like about ZHdK: The convergence of so many artistic disciplines. What I would change: Provide more places to lie down. My wishes for the Toni Campus: For ivy to grow up the walls. My favourite place in Zurich: Down by the Limmat.

Kristina Jungic
Exchange Coordinator Outgoing; Research Associate at the Immersive Arts Space. Profession/education: MA Film Studies UZH. At ZHdK since April 2016. Non-professional interests: Gardening, cycling, barbecuing. What I like about ZHdK: I have met many exciting people; the range of events, when there is no pandemic, is enormous and inspiring. What I would change: Create a more open, controversial culture of discussion, especially between the University Board, staff and students. My wishes for the Toni Campus: A more diverse catering concept. My favourite place in Zurich: I am a big fan of unspoilt places, i.e. neglected and overlooked squares and street corners.

Assistant at the International Office. Profession/education: Trade & Commerce Diploma, Desktop publisher. At ZHdK since 1 December 2014. Non-professional interests: Reading, drawing and painting, meeting friends and family, getting to know foreign countries and cultures, learning to speak and write Chinese. What I like about ZHdK: Working with enthusiastic young people from all over the world. What I would change: Less grey, more light. My wishes for the Toni Campus: More quiet and cosy places. My favourite place in Zurich: The Chinese garden near Zürichhorn.
